Our Projects
Here's what we're doing to support our community across the Northern Rivers.
Bounce Back
After the Lismore floods, in response to the urgent need for a better and more coordinated community response to safety in environmental emergencies, CCC Inc. created the Bounce Back Project. This resulted in the formation of the Wadeville & Surrounds Community Led Emergency Response Teams, which is developing a plan using the ‘Prepare, Respond & Recover’ framework. Research was undertaken within the four communities of Barkers Vale, Lillian Rock, Wadeville and Cawongla to identify and address major disaster management issues. CCC Inc. obtained $30,000 in funding with thanks to FRRR and NAB grants to establish fixed radio operations bases and distribute hand-held radios across the area. Regular training and information activities have continued supporting the emergency Prepare Respond Recovery activities across the region.
